Professor at the University of Oporto, Faculty of Economics, teaching Commercial and Corporate Law, as well as Introduction to Law. Also taught Corporate Law at the Institute for Fiscal and Financial Studies and International Contract Law, Land Law and Commercial Contracts in various Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economics. He also taught at the Instituto Superior de Administração e Gestão, in Oporto.

Monitor at the Training Center of the Bar Association (Oporto).

Arbitrator at the Arbitration Centre of “Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Portuguesa / Associação Comercial de Lisboa” and at the Arbitratrion Centre of “Instituto de Arbitragem Comercial do Centro de Arbitragem Comercial da Câmara de Comércio e Indústria do Porto / Associação Comercial do Porto”.

Member of the Board of Oporto District Council of the Bar Association (1984-1986) and Member of the Board of the “Instituto das Sociedades de Advogados” of the Bar Association, since its foundation.
